Sunday Family Fun

Yesterday was a beautiful 80 degree day so we decided to pack up and head to the lake. The kids played baseball (big surprise) with their cousins. They all get so competitive and we have to remind them that its Family Fun and not the World Series. Its too bad they aren't all the same age because we would have one awesome baseball team. My nephew, Julian, voted me the worst player - he said I don't pitch well and since I'm a girl I can't bat. Funny kid!! The kids also rode the four wheeler around. Jenna, Carissa and my nephew, Jacob have started to get quit daring and are now jumping over fallen logs. Its so much fun to watch them progress as little four wheel riders. Bobby and I took the boat out for a ride. We were the only ones out on the lake. I was shocked that the boat started right up since it hasn't been started in about a month. I love our boat! My dad bought a boat when I was 12 and its awesome to see 3 generations of our family enjoying the lake. Even though my dad is no longer with us, I feel closest to him when I am taking a boat ride.

Colt .45s Head To Championship

Last night, Bobby's team, won the semi-final game of the playoffs. The first 3 innings were tied. Then The Outlaws were up to bat and got in 2 runs and then our team made 3 outs! Then The Colts were up to bat and got 5 runs in!! It was so much fun watching the boys play their best and work as a team! Saturday morning they will be playing in the Championship game. I was so excited watching and cheering that I didn't take any pictures. I'll post videos of the outs Bobby made once his coach forwards them to me. Way to go Colts!!!

Carissa's New Room

The girls have decided that they are ready for their own rooms. Carissa decided she wanted a green room and green furniture, so off to Home Depot we went. Carissa picked chinese jade for the walls and moss green for her furniture. We spent all day Saturday painting the armoire, daybed and book case moss green. Sunday afternoon, we started on the walls of her new room. Carissa is so excited!! Her bedding is black and white zebra stripes and is going to look amazing on her new green bed. I'm buying the black and white zebra drawer pulls from Pottery Barn Teen. I think the green, black and white room is going to turn out amazing!! Carissa and I can't wait to find little accessories after we get the room put together. Pictures coming soon....I forgot to take before pictures.

Cinderella Story...Almost

Last night were the final 2 games of the playoffs. The first game would decide who was in 3rd place and the winner would move to the championship game. Jenna's team played really hard in their first game against the Cubs. They defeated them 9 to 3!! The girls were so excited that they were jumping all around and hugging each other. It was so fun to watch their excitement. The Championship game was against the Bobcats. In the regular season, the Bobcats beat us 15 to 2. The Falcons have grown so much as a team that we really weren't sure what was going to happen on the field. The first inning was tied 2 to 2. The second inning was 3 to 3. The third inning began and The Falcons held the Bobcats to 1 run! It was our last time to bat. The tension and nerves of both teams were so intense. Jenna was the first batter up and was walked. She stole 2nd and 3rd! The next batter struck out and the following batter was tagged out on 1st. Our next girl got up and struck out! The girls tried so hard and lost. They were all disappointed and crying. We kept encouraging them and telling them how far they have come and, even though they lost, they were still 2nd Place in their division. After the game, the commissioner handed out trophies to both teams. Way to go, Falcons!! We are so proud of each and every one of you!!!

Tom Turkey

Bobby's class all recieved a blank Tom Turkey. The instructions were to disguise Tom so that the farmer would not recognize him. Bobby (with a little help from the girls) created a baseball turkey. Check him out!

Halloween

For Halloween, we went to the church behind our house. They had pony rides, a pirate ship with a cannon shooting candy, petting zoo, games and trunk or treating. Then we went trick or treating in the neighborhood.
